KAN Honors Women Entrepreneurs on International Women’s Day

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: Under the banner of KanHERsations, Kashmir Angel Network on Wednesday hosted a special event at its corporate headquarters in Srinagar. The event, held to celebrate International Women’s Day, brought together young businesswomen to discuss the challenges they face in establishing their companies and share the experiences that inspired them to become entrepreneurs. The event was attended by various women entrepreneurs, including the founders of Eco Kash, Mountain Soaps, and Pride by Mariya, Sweet Frosting Box, Elite training and placement, among others.

March 8th marks the global celebration of International Women’s Day, a crucial day to honour and recognize the contributions and accomplishments of women while advocating for gender equality. It offers an opportunity to raise awareness and encourage women’s entrepreneurship not only in Kashmir but also around the world. Celebrating the triumphs of women entrepreneurs and inspiring future generations to follow their entrepreneurial aspirations is of paramount importance. Recognition and support for women in business and entrepreneurship are particularly vital.

Women entrepreneurs face unique challenges and barriers, such as access to funding and networks, and it’s important to provide them with the resources and support they need to succeed. Celebrating International Women’s Day is a great way to raise awareness of these issues and promote women’s entrepreneurship in Kashmir and beyond. It’s also a chance to highlight the successes of women entrepreneurs and to inspire future generations of women to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. Despite the difficulties they faced, the young women business owners were brimming with enthusiasm and determination. They discussed their goals for their companies as well as the communities in which they live, and their tenacity in the face of challenges was genuinely motivational.

Seeing how these young women are challenging the status quo and breaking down boundaries in their respective fields was inspiring for the audience members who attended the event.
