  • KCR’s absence during PM Modi’s Hyderabad visit is a shame: BJP

KCR’s absence during PM Modi’s Hyderabad visit is a shame: BJP

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party state president and parliament member Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday said the absence of chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana is shameful.

PM Modi was in Hyderabad to flag off the Vande Bharat Express train, inaugurate the doubling and electrification of the Secunderabad – Mahabubnagar project and lay the foundation stones of the National Highway projects and AIIMS Bibinagar.

Speaking to the media at Parade Grounds, Bandi said, “The chief minister seems very busy. The prime minister comes to the state to launch development projects worth Rs 11,360 crore and the CM refused to show his face. KCR is an inhibitor of development.”

    MS Education Academy

Bandi informed that he had personally requested the CM to attend the launch of the development projects and had reserved a seat for KCR. “I also brought a shawl to felicitate the CM. But why didn’t he come? What matters are more important than the PM coming to the state?” he said.

He demanded an answer from KCR as to why he did not turn up even though the PM, Governor and union ministers attended the meeting. He also demanded that the chief minister apologises to the people of Telangana for this.

The prime minister made it clear that politics are only limited to the elections after which the priority should be developmental works. A large amount of money is being spent on Telangana irrespective of politics.

“People of Telangana came to the Parade Grounds to witness the launch of development works, many are watching this on TV and they are also observing the absence of KTR. At the right time, they will teach KCR a lesson,” said the BJP president.

Modi in Hyderabad: YS Sharmila demands fulfilment of bifurcation promises

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: While Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Hyderabad, YSRTP chief Y S Sharmila demanded the fulfilment of long-pending bifurcation promises.

Appealing to the Prime Minister to announce funds for the state and various projects, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Telangana Party chief said, “It has been nine years but the bifurcation issues and promises have not been addressed to date.”

“The annual budgets of the NDA government don’t bother to cater sufficient funds to Telangana and its projects,” added Sharmila.

    MS Education Academy

Sharmila tweeted, “We have been tirelessly fighting against Kaleshwaram project corruption. The BJP leaders themselves termed the project as an ATM for KCR but have not taken any action or initiated any investigation. We have complained to the CAG and CBI but of no use. We expect concrete steps in this regard, where you rise above your political interests.”

Taking a dig at the Telangana chief minister, Sharmila said, “We know KCR has no guts to question PM Modi on the pending projects and promises. His party’s fight is limited to social media and comments made in the farmhouse.”

“YSR Telangana Party committed to the wellbeing of Telangana will continue to question those who are responsible and accountable for the progress of the state,” added Sharmila.

Hyderabad: CM KCR to host Iftar dinner on April 12

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will host the annual Iftar dinner for the Muslim community at LB Stadium on April 12. He directed his secretary Bhupal Reddy to make the necessary arrangements.

The annual dinner is set to be organised by the state government on a grand scale. Muslim clerics, MLAs, government officials, and general public are expected to join the Iftar party.

Meanwhile, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders slammed the prime minister Narendra Modi for his ‘parivarvaad’ (dynastic politics) remarks.

    MS Education Academy

Prime minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed ‘pain’ at the alleged non-cooperation of the ruling dispensation towards central initiatives aimed at the southern state.

“Handful of people who encourage ‘parivarvaad’ are trying to see where they can reap benefits from projects being implemented for the people of Telangana,” PM Modi said.

Reacting to Modi’s statements about the state’s non-cooperation with Central projects, state finance minister Harish Rao said “Every word is far from the truth. Playing so many lies as the Prime Minister is worth it to him.”

“It is ridiculous for Modi to say that the state government is not cooperating with the Centre. Actually, the situation is reversed. Centre is not giving any support to Telangana by not sanctioning a tribal university, railway coach factory, Bayyaram steel industry, medical colleges, and nursing colleges,” Harish Rao said.

  • Godse’s photo on Ram Navami: Owaisi slams Hyderabad police for inaction

Godse’s photo on Ram Navami: Owaisi slams Hyderabad police for inaction

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi slammed the city police for ‘inaction’ on individuals who displayed Nathuram Godse’s portrait during the recently held Sri Rama Navami rallies in Hyderabad.

“The name of India’s first terrorist is Nathuram Godse who killed Gandhiji and people are roaming in Hyderabad with his photo. who are these people? And what kind of police is this which is sitting silent? Police would have broken down the door of Osama bin Laden’s house if someone had carried a photo,” he said.

Owaisi made these remarks during a Jalsa held at Masjid-E-Umar Farooq, at Shaikpet in the city.

    MS Education Academy

A portrait of Godse appeared as the suspended Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh joined the main rally when it passed via Mangalhat on March 30. People who joined Singh’s fringe rally waved photos of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin, now a beloved Hindutva figure.

Artists, cultural troupes and musical bands brought in by the Sri Ram Navami Utsav Committee also participated in the procession right from the beginning. DJs played Hindutva songs at the event, which last year witnessed hate speeches being made. Raja Singh, who has been banned from participating in political public meetings by the Telangana High Court, made a small speech at the event.

“Our elders worked hard and made the Ram temple a reality. It will soon be inaugurated. Our focus now has to be on Kashi and Mathura temples, for which we need to fight. Hindus should not be afraid of anyone. One Hindu can fight 10,000 people. There is nothing to fear, and we have to form a Hindu Rashtra,” Raja Singh.

At around 3 pm the procession was at the Mangalhat police station road. From there it will pass via Begum Bazar and other areas. According to sources, Hindutva leaders and participants will make a pledge to make Hindu Rashtra.

The Ram Navami procession has also become a launchpad for Hindutva mascot and suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh to release new inflammatory ‘songs’ every year. In 2022, he sang a song degenerating Muslims and threatened to “kick” them out of India if they “don’t chant Ram’s name”.

One of latest songs, ‘Baap Tu Baap Rahega’, was clearly a dig at the ruling government (or even the cops) for arresting him last year and putting him in the jail under the PD Act after he released a video passing derogatory comments against Prophet Muhammad. He did that in retaliation against the state got allowing comic Munawar Faurqui to hold a show.

The lyrics also make mention his PD Act detention following registration of a series of cases for making derogatory remarks against Prophet Mohammed in a video and also old cases booked against him for delivering hate speeches. The lyrics goes ‘Jail Ka Taala Tuth Gaya, Baap Tumhara Choot Gaya’. The song is of 5:10 minutes duration.
