Due to the sudden increase in the activities of the armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir, the political mercury has heated up. The leaders who have been vehemently opposing the abolition of ‘Article 370’ have now started saying that additional security forces are being deployed in the Valley to fragment Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference chairman and former minister Sajjad Lone has given rise to many such rumours. Tanveer Sadiq, an aide of former CM Omar Abdullah, also said that he may be taken into custody again. Pakistan has also been shaken to see additional companies of security forces reaching the valley. Brigadier Anil Gupta (Retd) who is also a spokesperson of the state unit of BJP, who is knowledgeable on political and security matters of Jammu and Kashmir, says neither ‘Kashmir’ will be a piece nor ‘Article 370’ will be returned. There is speculation about the intention of propaganda.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Hafiz Chaudhry did not take a moment to make a statement. He said such a change would have no legal effect. India has violated international law by acting unilaterally and illegally in Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, Pakistani PM Imran Khan has also been troubled by the news of the valley. He also said, if India gives a roadmap for the restoration of Article 370, then talks between the two countries can be possible again.
Be it Sajjad Lone, Mehbooba or Abdullah family, their politics is over now. There is no issue left. These leaders are involved in some kind of case. Now they see only one thing that by any means keep raising the issue of Kashmir on the national and international stage. The cross-border attachment of these leaders is evident. More than two hundred companies of security forces were sent on election duty. In 2019, when Article 370 was announced, about four and a half hundred companies of central security forces were deployed in the Valley.
Captain Anil Gaur (Retd), an expert on political and security matters of Jammu and Kashmir, says, the government should hold assembly elections here soon. Whatever seats are to be increased or decreased, that work should be completed soon. Cutting Kashmir into pieces is not justified in any way. It will be of no use. How many difficulties were faced after the removal of Article 370. For India, now such an initiative will not be called right at the international level. PoK may be discussed politically, but in reality it is far from reality. Today the conditions of 1971 are not there. China will not only speak for Pakistan, but will also do it. The reason for this is the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor or CPEC. It is called China’s ambitious project. This corridor passes through disputed areas like Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and Aksai Chin. India opposes this project as it passes through Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. China is investing heavily in building CPEC. Now it is not possible for China to withdraw from this project.
