Originally a resident of Muzaffarpur in Bihar, Maulana Noor Alam Khalil was a senior maestro in Amini Darul Uloom as well as a large Arabic scholar. He was ill for a long time. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Meerut. His health deteriorated late on Sunday night, before he was taken to the doctor. The news of Maulana Amini’s death caused a wave of mourning in the Islamic world. A crowd of people gathered at his residence on the Afriqi Manzil.
Born on 18 December 1952 in Bihar, Maulana Noor Alam Khalil Amini was a big name in the Islamic world. He has thousands of disciples all over the world. The book Miftah al-Arabiya by Maulana Amini, teacher of Arabic literature at Darul Uloom, is included in the curriculum of Dars Nizami in various madrasas. Maulana Noor Alam Khalil Amini was conferred with a special honor by President Ram Nath Kovind in the year 2017 for meritorious services in Arabic language.

Maulana Noor Alam Khalil Amini has been buried in Qasmi Qabristan and his janazah prayer was led by Maulana Arshad Madani.
