The Lieutenant Governor said that the government has adopted the three R’s mantra. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. With their help, efforts will be made to reduce waste. Sinha said that the said facility has been started with the aim of improving the solid waste management process and sustainable environment in the state. This will help in the collection, disposal and reuse of waste in the city. Equipped with modern technology, this facility will be able to use 100% dry waste.

This facility will lead to effective solid waste management under Swachh Bharat Mission. Apart from making conservation and protection of the environment an integral part of its development plan, the Government is continuously making efforts in formulating creative waste management strategies for environmental sustainability. In this the mantra of three R’s will be very effective. Due to which the city will be more beautiful and clean. In the first R, we will at least go towards Waste Management. In the second R, we will go to the reuse of goods and in the third R we will go to the waste material.

This will also generate good revenue for the government. It was informed that the facility has been equipped with various features to make it an economically sustainable socio-technical model. In addition, it will also act as a support system for capacity building of waste pickers, garbage collectors and related recyclers. Municipal Corporation Mayor Chandra Mohan Gupta was also present on the occasion.
