Under the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), the order of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTC) to cut the expenditure of students pursuing various professional courses in outside states has been withdrawn.

Now for the academic session 2021-22, students will get one lakh rupees annually for mess, hostel, book and other expenses. There was a lot of anger among the students about the AICTC cutting the expenditure by Rs 60,000. Due to online studies due to Kovid, AICTC had cut the expenses of the students.

Was asked to pay 40 thousand rupees annually. In the academic session 2021-22 also, it was decided to give the same amount. Amar Ujala had prominently raised the voice of the students on this issue in the July 11 issue.

PMSSS Director Anand Sharma has issued an order on 19th July asking PMSSS students to pay full annual expenditure of one lakh. Nikhil Mehra, a student of B.Tech in Delhi under PMSSS, said that all the students will benefit from this decision of AICTC.
