hear the news

There is good news for the devotees of Baba Barfani. Now they will get a chance to go to Baba’s court by paved track, not through rocky and slippery roads. Taking a big decision, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board administration has decided to make both the tracks of Baltal and Pahalgam paved. The width of the track will be 12 feet. In this, there will be a way for the movement of horses and palanquins along with pedestrians.

Sources associated with the board said that due to the geographical conditions, traveling on both the tracks is risky. Sometimes people get injured due to slippery fall. Especially women have to face a lot of problems. In view of this, the board has decided to prepare a pucca track. There will be guardrails on both sides of the track for the convenience of the passengers. In some places there is a very narrow road.

In such a situation, wherever there is a wide space available for the track, a pucca track will be made. Due to this, the journey will not stop even if the weather is bad in general. There will be a break on the journey only if the weather is bad. Another advantage is that the time and money spent in repairing the track every year will also be saved. In a short time the track will be made ready for travel.

According to sources, it has also been decided that proper arrangement of drinking water and toilets should also be made on both the tracks as per the requirement. Even now this facility is available, but wherever it is needed, it will be arranged accordingly. The board administration wants to provide facilities to the devotees of Baba Barfani on the lines of the pilgrims of Vaishno Devi. This will make the journey easier as well as increase the number of visitors.

Track making will start this month
According to sources, the work of making the track can start this month. In the absence of Amarnath Yatra, this time will be utilized for making the track. In the meeting of the board officials, it was decided that the track would remain completely empty when the journey would not take place. In this way, the work of making the track can be carried out easily.
