Heroin worth crores has been recovered from the India-Pakistan International Border. This consignment of drugs prepared in Afghanistan was thrown by Pakistani smugglers from across the border at the Jyodia border of Akhnoor. Which was recovered by local smugglers. In this case, the team of Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has arrested three accused. It also includes a former military personnel.
ANTF SSP Vinay Kumar said that Naresh Kumar, a resident of Akhnoor, was caught with Scooty on Wednesday. One kilogram heroin packet was recovered from him. He had taken this packet from Balveer Singh and Kamal Kumar, residents of Khud. Kamal Kumar is an ex-serviceman of the Army. ANTF started investigation by taking both of them into custody. It is learned that Balveer and Kamal Kumar have one more kilo of heroin.
Which he has kept hidden near the Palanwala border of Khud. Both were taken to the spot and conducted a search operation with the help of the army. Meanwhile, the heroin packet was caught on the spot of both. Both the heroin packets recovered from the three accused bear the tag of Afghanistan. The weight of both the packets is two kilograms. Whose price in the international market is being estimated at Rs 14 crore.
Names of Pakistani smugglers surfaced
The accused have told during interrogation that the two packets of heroin were thrown by drug smugglers operating in Pakistan. These people have also given the names of some Pakistani smugglers. The SSP says that this heroin was thrown from the drone or in any other way, it is currently being investigated. With the arrest of all three, the names of some more local people can also come out.
