The world famous Dal Lake of Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, has always been a major tourist attraction. Now the floating ATM opened in the lake is also becoming a center of attraction for the tourists. According to the local people, this floating ATM is proving to be very beneficial for the people of the surrounding areas.

After the floating post office in Dal Lake, now the floating ATM of State Bank of India is attracting the visitors to the lake. It was inaugurated on 16 August this year in the presence of State Bank of India Chairman Dinesh Khara.

Abhishek, who came from Mumbai, told that he had come here to enjoy the views of the lake. But, when his shikarwala told him that there is also a floating ATM, he wanted to see it. He first saw an ATM floating in the middle of the lake. At the same time, another tourist named Archana told that he needed cash, so his houseboat man brought him here. At first I could not believe hearing them. But, when I reached there, I was surprised to see the floating ATM.

This floating ATM is fulfilling the needs of the local people along with the tourists. A shikarwala told that now if he ever needs cash, he does not need to go out to the lake.

Ismail said that there is a large population in the lake, for whom this ATM has proved to be very beneficial. It is worth noting that earlier tourists used to come to see the floating post office in Dal Lake, which is the only floating post office with a museum.
