Two terrorists, including a top Lashkar commander, were trapped in an encounter with terrorists by security forces at Warpora in Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday night. Flood lights have been installed at the encounter site. Security forces have surrounded the area. Relatives of terrorists have also reached the spot. Efforts to surrender the terrorists are also going on. There is intermittent firing. Internet service has been suspended to stop rumours.

It is said that the security forces had received information that some terrorists were present in the Warpora area. After this, a joint team of 22 Rashtriya Rifles, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF surrounded the area on Thursday evening. Door-to-door search was started by sealing all the entry and exit points there.

Meanwhile, the terrorists hiding in a house started firing on the security forces. Security forces also started retaliatory action. Meanwhile, the relatives of the terrorists reached the spot. Along with the security forces, he also appealed to the terrorists to surrender, but without success. Security forces have surrounded the area by installing floodlights so that the terrorists do not escape from the spot. There is intermittent firing from both the sides till late night.
