For the overall development of the logistics sector (administration of storage and transit assets or merchandise) in Jammu and Kashmir, the State Government has authorized the formation of a Logistics Coordination Committee. The Principal Secretary of the Department of Industry and Commerce has been appointed as chairman within the committee.

Principal Secretary, Department of Agricultural Produce and Farmers Welfare, Principal Secretary, Road and Building Construction Department, Commissioner of Transport Department, Mandalayat Jammu, Director of Mandalayat Kashmir, Industry and Commerce Department, Director of Industries and Commerce Department, Kashmir nominated as a member of the committee. Has been carried out. Apart from this, the consultant of the logistics sector of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Central Government will even be included as a member within the committee.

The committee will finalize the logistics policy and plan within the state. Apart from this, the work of simplifying the cargo motion by way of inexperienced channels will be carried out. The Director of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Jammu has been requested to arrange the Logistics Cell below his chairmanship and he has been requested to organize a draft for the overall development of the logistics sector in Jammu and Kashmir in coordination with the Union Ministry of Commerce.
