Jammu and Kashmir: Constant rain in the plains and snowfall in the mountainous areas caused the mercury to fall

Kashmir has been witnessing steady rain in the plains for the final 36 hours, whereas snowfall has been occurring in the hilly areas. Due to snowfall in the hilly areas, the temperature dropped considerably. According to the Meteorological Department, Srinagar recorded the highest 31 mm rainfall throughout the final 36 hours.
