Government Decided Over the closure of colleges in JK

Amid rumors concerning closure of colleges following the surge in COVID-19 instances, the authorities on Thursday stated that the greater training institutes in Jammu and Kashmir will perform usually by means of common mode.
Top officers of the Higher Education Department advised the information company that the college students should not pay heed to the rumors concerning the closure of colleges.
The official stated, “In Jammu and Kashmir, colleges are functioning normally even the management of the all colleges are ensuring adherence of COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).”
“ There is no such proposal of closing the colleges here and the Higher Education Department is constantly monitoring the COVID-19 cases among the students and the staff members,” the official stated.
It is pertinent to say that on March-15, no less than three college students of Womens College Srinagar have been examined constructive for COVID-19 and on March-07, authorities ordered closure of Islamia College of Science and Commerce until March-13 following the outbreak of COVID-19 amongst its two school members.
