Jammu. The 500-bed reputed hospital of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) based in Bhagwati Nagar is being started from Saturday. LG Manoj Sinha will inspect the hospital on Saturday morning, after which the hospital will be formally started with a trial run of oxygen.
Three levels have been set up in the hospital, in which Kovid patients will be given treatment according to their health status. Kovid patients can reach and report directly to this hospital, in which they will be screened. Like other hospitals, there will also be a triage system. Four wards have been set up in the DRDO Hospital, of which three wards are general and one ICU. There are more than a hundred ICU beds from the hospital, which will be expanded according to the patients. Financial Commissioner of Health and Medical Education Department Atal Dulu said that non-covid patients will not be seen in the hospital. There is no plan to shift Corona patients from GMC and other associated hospitals to DRDO. But in future new corona patients will be sent to DRDO only. This will gradually make GMC and Associated Hospitals non-Kovid Hospitals. After this, normal patients will also be able to get proper treatment.
Contract staff will be appointed here
Doctors, specialists and para medical staff have been dispatched from the Health Department for DRDO Hospital. Apart from this, the contract staff is being appointed under the banner of GMC administration. It will also be staffed by GMC and Associated Hospitals. Staff will also be expanded according to the patients. He said that with the commencement of DRDO Hospital, the load of Kovid patients at other major hospitals of the city will be gradually reduced. LG will inspect the hospital on Saturday morning between 9:30 and 10. After this, a couple of trial runs will be done, so that all the necessary facilities can be checked.
