Curbs a must, but no need for panic: Top AIIMS doctor

Naveet Wig, head of the Department of Medicine at AIIMS-Delhi, stated on Sunday that motion curbs have been wanted the place Covid-19 positivity price was over 5 per cent.

Wig stated India might cut back the positivity price to lower than 5 per cent in three weeks, if individuals practised Covid-appropriate behaviour and accepted vaccines rapidly.

“Everyone must take the vaccine dose as soon as possible. The vaccines are absolutely safe and there is no reason to have any doubt whatsoever. Nothing will happen to anyone. All you need to do is keep yourself hydrated well. The most anyone will have is fever, which is normal,” Wig stated.

He urged the media to indicate “only the positive news and build people’s confidence that the chain of transmission can be broken by practising Covid protocol and taking vaccine shots”.
