Corona in Jammu and Kashmir: 10 percent improvement in recovery rate in fifteen days, reaching 91 percent

With the control of Kovid infection, gradually the medical systems in the state are getting back on track. In various hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir, 74 percent of the Covid beds are vacant. With the recovery rate also improving, this figure has gone above 91 percent. In the last fifteen days, with the improvement in the recovery rate in the state, the active cases have come down by 10 percent. The Covid mortality rate is also improving. Fifteen days ago, the Kovid recovery rate in the state was 81 percent, which has gone up to 91 percent at present. Similarly, the active cases were above 17 per cent which has come down to 7 per cent at present.

Currently, the Kovid mortality rate on the total infected cases is 1.35%. Phone appointment OPD service has been restored in the city’s Psychiatric and Super Specialty Hospital, while preparations are being made to restore OPD service in other associated hospitals in the coming days. Talking about Kovid beds, 82 in Jammu division and 65 percent beds in Kashmir division are vacant. In Jammu division, only 531 patients are admitted in 2939 beds and in Kashmir division, 1010 patients are admitted in 2853 beds. There are 1541 patients admitted in a total of 5792 beds in the state and this percentage rate is 26, in which 74 percent beds are lying vacant.
