The Supreme Court on Tuesday mentioned High Courts had been in a higher place to observe the COVID-19 state of affairs inside their territorial boundaries.
At a time of national disaster, the top court cannot be a mute spectator, the court mentioned taking suo motu case on COVID-19 administration.
“There is need for top court’s intervention on certain national issues as there might be matters related to coordination between states,” it mentioned.
The court mentioned it was enjoying a complementary function and if HCs have any issue in coping with points resulting from territorial limitations, it might step in to assist
