Mayor Chandra Mohan Gupta counted the achievements of two and a half years so far after the Jammu Corporation elections. Informed about the development works with Commissioner Avani Lavasa. He said that the corporation has installed 80 thousand LED lights in the city. The work of installing the lights is still going on. 100 crore to improve the condition of roads. More than 57 kanals of Municipal Corporation land has been freed from encroachers. A concrete fence has been erected around it.

The Mayor said that the 74th Constitutional Amendment was to be done in a long time, which was implemented with the help of all the councilors. Under this, social welfare, primary education, PWD, primary health centre, urban forestry, floriculture etc. were transferred to the Jammu Municipal Corporation. The Corporation has also collected record revenue under all sections. The corporation has also given permission for the construction of 300 buildings. It consists of 2830 residential and 250 commercial buildings.

200 crore drains will be constructed
Work on Solid Waste Management Project is under process. Under the ‘My Town My Pride’ scheme, a special amount of Rs 5 crore has been sanctioned with the collective efforts of the elected representatives. Under this, many development activities have been started on the municipal land in Bandhu Rakh. In 2018, there were 2 sections of engineering, which are now 7. It also has adequate staff. The work of multi-storey parking is going on at Panjtirthi. Modern Gaushala is also being built in Nagrota. The work of the Gaushala to be built on 100 kanals has started. The smart city project has been shifted to the corporation. 200 crore has been sanctioned in the city under the AMRUT scheme, under which drains will be constructed. 100 crores has improved the condition of many roads in the city.
