4 Covid patients die ‘due to oxygen shortage’ in Karnataka

Kalaburagi, May 4

A day after 24 coronavirus-infected patients died allegedly due to scarcity of oxygen in Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar, 4 Covid patients who had been on ventilator died in Afzalpur taluk in Kalaburagi district on Tuesday morning.

According to the households of the deceased, all of them had been above 70 and had developed Covid-related issues on Sunday night and died allegedly due to scarcity of oxygen.

However, the district authorities stated all 4 patients had co-morbidities and died due to extreme issues however admitted that there was a delay of three to 4 hours in procuring oxygen from Kalaburagi the place the oxygen is saved. IANS
